Event without sending Emails

It can happen, that a association wants to invite for an event without sending Emails to all member, but all member should be able to join (e.g. we had in Germany the case that we promoted a row of events in Facebook and we do not wanted to generate emails for all events to all member. Especially because the reminder will send a lot of events).

For that, you have to create first of all a new reminder, which will not containing a email
Admin -> Settings > actvities > reminder patterns

Remove Reminder and remove intvitation

Now you can create for an event. Take care that you are deselectting the option “Automatically send invite to new invitees


and select at page 3 the correct reminder pattern

In this case, now only the confirmation will be sent 3 hours ago. No Email else will be sent
