How to create a poll?

By default the whole Board and the function DataManager can create or modify polls.

How to create a poll (shown by an example of a normal poll)

  1. Switch to admin-mode
  2. Select “new” from the upper right corner and choose “poll”
  3. Choose the kind of poll you want to create
  4. Insert the question and an optional description
  5. Select a start and an end date of this poll
  6. You can also adjust the following settings:
    1. Should the results be visible to all users?
    2. Should the results be visible to users who have not yet participated in the poll?
    3. Should be visible, who voted for what option?
    4. Should users be able to edit their vote?
    5. Are participants able to add comments?
  7. Next
  8. Type in all the options you want the participant to choose from (select “+” to add additional options)
  9. Next
  10. Finally, you can select who will be invited to participate at the poll. You can for example select certain groups, functions or combinations.

Besides that, you can also exclude single users or groups (e. g. if you want to plan a bachelor party for a member)

  1. After finishing the list of invitees, click finish. The poll will then be available from the defined start to end date. Outside of this timeframe, it will also not be visible to normal users.
